"Audition"has just enough sheer terror and graphic gore (not bloody) to make any willing viewer a Japanese horror movie fan. I can't say that the main character Aoyama, didn't deserve what he had coming but, then again, he was forewarned by his partner. When he met Asami during auditions he held, I suppose he was enchanted by her beauty and emotional depth. Let's just say, I don't believe
Aoyama ever saw it coming.
This movie rates high on the gore score, a very deserving 4. I must warn everyone that even though "Audition" isn't a bloody, gore movie, there are some flashback scenes that are not for the faint-hearted audience. Oh, but this is a seriously graphic movie, so, go light on the popcorn!
